Broadcast quartz aggregate in crystal-clear epoxy — chemical-resistant, slip-resistant, and built for the hardest-working spaces. Commercial kitchens, retail, garages, healthcare — this is the system that takes a beating and looks good doing it.
Quartz epoxy is a multi-layer coating system that uses natural quartz aggregate — the same mineral used in engineered stone countertops — broadcast into a clear epoxy binder. The result is a seamless, monolithic surface with built-in texture for slip resistance and exceptional chemical resistance.
The system starts with diamond-ground concrete prep, followed by a 100% solids epoxy base coat. While the base coat is still wet, quartz granules are broadcast across the surface to full rejection (meaning the aggregate completely saturates the coating). A grout coat of clear epoxy locks the quartz in place, and a final topcoat — polyaspartic or polyurethane — seals and protects the system.
Unlike flake or metallic systems that are primarily decorative, quartz epoxy is engineered for performance first. It meets USDA and FDA requirements for food-prep environments and exceeds ADA slip-resistance standards.
Acids, alkalis, solvents, fuel, grease — quartz epoxy handles them all without staining, softening, or delaminating. The aggregate itself is inert; the epoxy binder seals the surface.
The broadcast quartz creates a naturally textured surface that exceeds ADA slip-resistance requirements — even when wet. No extra grit additives needed.
Quartz (7 on the Mohs hardness scale) is one of the hardest natural minerals. Combined with a polyaspartic topcoat, the system lasts 15-20+ years under heavy commercial traffic.
No grout lines, no seams, no places for bacteria to hide. Monolithic surface meets FDA, USDA, and health-code requirements for commercial food-prep and healthcare.
Quartz aggregate won't fade or yellow. Paired with a polyaspartic topcoat, the system maintains its color in direct sunlight, indoors or outdoors.
Torginol® Quartz™ offers 40+ pre-blended color options across cool neutrals, warm neutrals, and bold accents. Custom blends available for branded environments.
We mechanically profile the concrete with industrial diamond grinders — opening the pores for maximum epoxy adhesion. No acid etching shortcuts.
100% solids epoxy applied directly to the ground concrete. This is the bonding layer — it fills pores, seals cracks, and provides the adhesion for everything above it.
Natural quartz aggregate is hand-broadcast to full rejection — meaning we saturate the surface until no more material can adhere. This creates the texture, color, and structural integrity.
Clear epoxy is rolled over the broadcast quartz to lock every granule in place and fill voids. The surface is then scraped smooth to remove loose material before the final seal.
The final protective layer. Polyaspartic topcoat delivers UV stability, chemical resistance, and 4x the abrasion resistance of standard polyurethane. Walk the same day, drive the next morning.
Commercial kitchens, restaurants, grocery stores, hospitals, veterinary clinics, warehouses, loading docks — anywhere that needs chemical resistance, slip resistance, and USDA/FDA compliance.
Garages, basements, laundry rooms, and mud rooms. The textured surface hides dirt, resists stains, and provides sure footing — especially in spaces that get wet.
Quartz epoxy is a coating system where natural quartz aggregate is broadcast into a wet epoxy base coat. The quartz granules create a textured, monolithic surface with slip resistance, chemical resistance, and extreme durability. The system is sealed with a clear polyaspartic or polyurethane topcoat for UV protection and easy maintenance.
Both systems use a 100% solids epoxy base coat, but the broadcast material is different. Flake epoxy uses vinyl color chips for a decorative, multi-toned look. Quartz epoxy uses natural quartz aggregate for a tighter texture and superior chemical/slip resistance. Quartz is typically chosen for commercial and industrial environments; flake is more common in residential garages and basements.
Yes. The broadcast quartz creates a naturally textured surface that exceeds ADA slip-resistance requirements — even when wet. Unlike smooth epoxy systems that need grit additives for traction, quartz has built-in texture from the aggregate itself.
Quartz epoxy typically runs $5-12 per square foot depending on quartz blend, number of broadcast layers, topcoat selection, and surface condition. Volume discounts are available for projects over 2,000 sqft. Every quote includes diamond-ground prep, materials, labor, and our written warranty.
We diamond grind every surface to CSP 2-3 for maximum mechanical bond. Never acid etch. This is why our coatings don't peel.
Every slab is tested per ASTM F2170 before coating. High moisture = coating failure. We catch it before it becomes your problem.
Every installation backed by a written 5-year warranty covering peeling, delamination, and hot-tire pickup. Zero claims filed.
Every floor we install is backed by a written 5-year warranty covering peeling, delamination, and hot-tire pickup. We can guarantee our work because we control every variable — from moisture testing to the final topcoat.
